Forrest- to the ritual

"Are you afraid?"
He asked so silently as we walked through the brush and black trees. That question ran through my head endlessly, that it seemed I was the one asking the question.
" I suppose I'm just in fear about if I pass this test. Should I fear something other than that?"
Still look forward with an expresion of much thought, he said only nothing. He was still thinking of what to tell me. I knew, for I felt it there. Long moment had passed until he made a sudden stop. I paused.
" Ignore that fear. You have a talent for being able to ignore your feelings. I don't encourage it, thats something the Elders would be in favor of. But I want you to use it now. Ignore what you may feel," and this he looked at me with such a stern look in his eyes, "Make your body numb as you've done so many times in past. I know, I've seen you do that. Now come and make your place them."
He leads me towards a light between the tress, a fire. It was not only revealing it's own presence, but the presence of beings dancing around it. Chanting in roars but clear. They were sounds I've learned and in languages I was able to understand. When they made an uproar of he same word, I could here something of sand being thrown into the fire. The fire turned an odd color, a mixture of dark blue and yellow. They all stopped.
"They're here,"
We only 10 feet away, I thought about what Gabriel had said. Yet I could only ask in my mind, what is there to fear? Other then for me to past my test. It must be something important. Important enough to fear? I couldn't get it out of my mind, which scared me.
